Veterinary Consultant

VETERINARY CONSULTANT (JOB NUMBER: VC-CS-0111)

PPG are looking for hardworking, experienced and knowledgeable veterinary surgeons to help work on a short fixed-term project using your experience assessing the correct process of how an animal is treated and diagnosed.

For this project, as part of PPG’s innovative plans in the pet space we require additional knowledge in field of clinical conditions; severity, prevalence, proposed risk, epidemiology and pathology.

The job will entail reviewing individual conditions and assessing the risk these conditions pose to pets’ health. Then as a team, these conditions will be classified and categorised in anatomical and system locations to enable the automation of claims and medical assessment.

This role is a great opportunity to be able to create something truly innovative in the pet health space and allow for pets across the world access to affordable and accessible healthcare.

Key Tasks
- Review individual conditions a pet can suffer from providing knowledge on these conditions and assessing the risk the condition poses to a pet’s health.
- Identifying any potential absent conditions and inputting these into the system.
- Working with the data team to ensure the system can cater for any additional fields required for grading the risk associated with a specific disease.

**Requirements**:

- A degree in Veterinary Medicine
- High levels of computer literacy
- Strong knowledge in a wide range of clinical diseases effecting small companion animals
- Knowledge on database structure is desired
- European languages desired but not essential
