The UK/I Commercial Finance Leader is a critical business partnering role within the Finance organisation. Reporting to the UK/I Senior Director, Finance, it assumes full responsibility for driving and reporting top-line sales performance for the UK/I Direct Business.

Managing a team of 2 Senior Analysts, this role must coach, empower, enable, support and encourage the team to develop to their maximum potential.

This role is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate and develop team leadership skills whilst making a significant measurable impact to the sales organization.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver financial results with exceptional business partnership
- Finance responsibility for driving UK/I sales performance vs targets
- Direct support to the newly created Strategic and National sales teams
- Large deal involvement across all UK/I sales teams
- Customer facing support as needed and requested by the sales teams
- Support of annual plan process including ownership of sales and ongoing forecasting requirements including the weekly and monthly forecasting processes, managed to a high degree of accuracy
- Identify sales drivers and outliers and together with the management team, constantly work on exploiting opportunities. Have a deep understanding of all variances in performance and proactively drive improvements
- Strong input into deal structuring, deal profit viability and commercial negotiations where appropriate
- Positively influence and support Sales Leaders and their teams
- Finance ownership and insight for the weekly Pulse & monthly SCM sales forecast meetings
- Partner with FP&A leader to provide robust and timely LOB reporting, providing support to Line of Business (LOB) teams
- Provide relevant commentary that creates insight into sales performance drivers of the business and support of monthly and quarterly FP&A submissions
- Ensure bid alignment support
- Coverage for the UK/I Senior Director, Finance
- Drive a strategic transformation agenda across the team
- G500 UK/I lead and implementation
- Ownership and alignment of deal calculators with D&B US, introduction and training of UK/I sales teams
- Ownership of the financial elements of price rises and partnering with other teams
- Design and implement product profitability reporting
- Ensure alignment with D&B Europe and D&B US as needed
- Review US deal desk and assess its viability for UK/I Commercial Finance team
- Design and implement financial analysis in supporting sales business partners for win/loss, ROI, deal postmortems, deal trajectory & monitoring
- Use centralisation and standardisation efforts in reporting and analytics by FP&A to enable productivity improvement in front-line commercial support
- Partner with other areas including Sales Operations, Revenue, Legal and OTI teams to minimize order rejections, improve SalesForce adherence and run sales team financial training as needed
- Own and drive other finance improvement initiatives across the UK
- Leadership
- Responsible for the coaching of the Commercial Finance team to achieve full potential and exceptional performance
- Drive Strong controllership, Ethics and Compliance
- Ensure that business is conducted according to USGAAP
- All relevant financial controls are compliant with SOX at all times
- Work with relevant teams to continually improve processes

**What we're looking for**:

- Qualified through an accreditation or by experience
- Significant tangible achievements within a commercial environment and extensive experience working in a complex, matrix organisation of a US Company multinational.
- Proven examples of world-class support to a sales organization, demonstrating a strong commercial acumen whilst receiving exceptional business partner feedback
- Ability to manage and thrive in times of ambiguity including examples of demonstrating flexibility, excellent listening skills and an ability to not get ‘bogged down’ defending a view
- Examples of tactical execution and delivery of measurable results in driving improved performance
- Strong leadership skills and coaching mindset
- Proven communication and influencing skills
- Excellent planning and organisation skills, together with a proactive, analytical approach.
- Strong analytical capability; able to manage large volumes of data, extract key messages and actionable insight and clearly communicate results
