Do you understand roofing construction and products? We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist / Advisor to provide technical support to Architects, Specifiers, Contractors and builders on the correct installation and specifications of insulationproducts for roofs and roof spaces to best suit the specific build environment

You will be seen as the industry expert and "go-to" person for technical queries providing technical advice and carrying out U-value calculations for major construction projects using our products.

You will also take on additional duties such as training and support to the Sales Team reviewing and updating product literature, undertaking NPD projects, and attending meetings/trade shows. There are opportunities to expand the role into the company’sother product development areas such as Chemical barrier fabrics and pharmaceutical cargo protection.

**BASIC SALARY**: £26,000 - £34,000

**LOCATION**: Bolton

**COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS**: Manchester, Blackburn, Wigan, Bury, Leigh, Chorley, or Preston.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**: Technical Support Specialist, Technical Advisor - Construction

This is an excellent opportunity for a Technical Support Specialist / Technical Advisor with a Physics or scientific background and experience of Construction, Roof Structures or Design looking to widen their remit and become the industry expert for a smallbut prestigious and high-quality market leader.

**Duties & Responsibilities**: Technical Support Specialist, Technical Advisor - Construction

Reporting to the Head of Operations and working with the owners on a range of duties, you will:

- Be the lead role in supporting our customers and the market with technical assistance and guidance.
- Maintain the technical competence and capability of the department to support the business and new product development and use your technical expertise to become involved in other product areas.

Knowledge & Experience: Technical Support Specialist / Technical Support Advisor
- Previous experience in the roofing or construction sector would be preferred.
- High level Numeracy
- A Physics degree/HND would be beneficial.
- Experienced in providing technical information and calculations direct to the customer
- Excellent customer facing skills

**NOTE**: Potentially this could also be a hybrid type role to a more senior Technical / Design Engineer from a technical construction background looking for a part time or contract position, so if you have the expertise call me and let’s talk.
