We’re looking for an apprentice to join our masonry team and develop into a masonry specialist. As part of your development, you’ll undertake a level 2 apprenticeships in customer service. After your training you will be encouraged to plan the next steps of your career journey with us.

The programme will include regular training and development events with other apprentices from across the business to support your personal development. You’ll have regular structured feedback sessions, and you will be assigned your own buddy to help you settle into your day-to-day role.

**Role Overview**

Working with the Masonry team you will be part of a team delivering impartial, technically accurate solutions and specifications for all products associated with the masonry wall to contractors, developers and sub-contractors.

To start with you will be learning the ropes and your duties will develop as your skills do. We aim to have you ‘up and running’ as quickly as we can, as we know that job satisfaction comes from having responsibility and autonomy, but you’ll never be left without as much support as you need.

**Responsibilities**

Our masonry team helps customers choose the right products and solutions for their needs. You’ll need to be confident on the telephone and have a good eye for detail to take. Sales excellence is about balancing the customer’s needs with maintaining margin, volume and profit and you’ll develop sales skills to achieve this.

Alongside this, you will learn how provide specification advice and technical support and value engineers existing designs.

You will learn how the importance of early design input, specification advice and technical support and will work with main contractors and developer’s design teams to develop design details. Through developing specialist knowledge you will ensure all products within the masonry wall are correctly specified and where possible look for cost effective viable alternative solutions.

Building relationships will be key to success in your role so you will liaise with manufacturers and customers to ensure a smooth design and approval process and build strong working relationships with key suppliers.

You will also learn to look for new suppliers/product development opportunities.
