**Night Concierge & Safeguarding Officer - Young Persons Supported Housing**

**Area for post vacancy: Coventry**

We specialise in the provision of support, concierge and safeguarding services to providers of supported housing for vulnerable people. This includes a variety of client groups such as young people, those suffering with mental health and homeless people as an example.

We are looking for people who have exceptional people skills and experience in working with the mentally ill and can demonstrate that they:

- have great communication skills,
- are reliable, responsible and can remain professional and calm in all situations.
- are a good decision maker
- have empathy with a range of vulnerable people

**The key aspects of the role include**:

- A 4 on 4 off night shift rota (10 hour shifts) - 21:15 - 08:15
- Rate of pay £11.15 - £12.50 per hour dependent on contractual arrangements.
- Working as a night concierge & safeguarding officer within a young persons supported housing project in Coventry.
- Being based in the Reception/Office area of the building throughout the shift.
- Dealing with visitors and residents and controlling access to and from the building.
- Responding to queries from residents and visitors.
- Leading on any emergencies that may arise including liaising with emergency services as appropriate.
- Carrying out various building health and safety checks.
- Carrying out welfare checks or RAR checks when requested.
- Maintaining and recording all incidents or important occurrences and carry out effective handovers to the day staff.
- an **Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Certificate less than 3 years old (Essential)**
- excellent customer care, communication and administration skills
- an ability to create and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers
- a clear and robust understanding of professional boundaries
- a solid work ethic and ability to remain vigilant at all times
- a high level of personal integrity

**Salary**: £11.15-£12.50 per hour
