Beach Survey Supervisor

Nuvia are recruiting an experienced Beach Survey Supervisor to work on a permanent basis in Cumbria.

Role Responsibilities:

- Supervision and management of a small team carrying out radiological beach surveys using vehicle mounted monitoring systems.
- Electronic processing of survey data collected.
- Responsible for the Health, Safety and Wellbeing of the team.
- Responsible for the ensuring that vehicles and monitoring equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft 365 and knowledge or ability to learn to use:

- ArcGIS: server and online geographic information system.
- GraphNav: a post processing software tool
- POLTIPS: coastal tidal computation software tool
- Microsoft Access data processing tool

Driving Licence - position involves the use a four-wheel drive vehicles and trailers, an off-road only four wheel drive four wheel steer single occupancy survey vehicle. Appropriate training will be provided.

Comfortable working to support the project in a harsh environment.

Flexible start and finish times required in line with the coastal tides and weather.

Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate and create a good working partnership with the Client, Members of the Regulating Bodies, various Nuclear governing bodies, Suppliers, and the general public.

Qualifications:

- Essential - Maths, English, Science at GCSC level or equivalent
- Desirable - Health Physics qualification, City and Guilds or NVQ
