The acquisition has secured our role as a critical supplier to the next generation of UK defence programmes. As part of this programme of work our plant and equipment will be modernised over the next 10 years, creating new opportunities for the business and our colleagues.

Based at our 64 acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, we are looking for a Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist. This role will involve overseeing and managing the company's machining offload supply chain, in order to maximise schedule benefit and reduce inefficiency. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with the supply chain.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Work with suppliers and Sheffield Forgemasters Project Managers to source suitable capacity and capability in the supply chain.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers.
- Control manufacturing and delivery processes.
- Plan and implement an engineering / manufacturing strategy to meet targets.
- Manage costs while maintaining quality.
- Develop strong relationships with supply chain.
- Provide technical and commercial assistance.
- Produce and report on monthly KPIs.
- Ensure relevant commercial documentation is in place.
- Effective auditing and expediting of supplier network.
- Liaise with internal logistics to support product delivery.

**About You**

You will be a Procurement Supply Chain Specialist, with the following skills, knowledge and experience:

- A degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or similar discipline.
- Previous experience working as a Supply Chain Manager, with an excellent understanding of supply chain processes.
- Industrial machining background.
- Experience of supply chain / procurement / material management software, e.g. SAP MM and ERP systems.
- Project management skills.
- A current UK Driving License, with the ability to travel within the UK.
- Lean Six Sigma experience is ideal, but not essential.

**Days/Hours of Work**

37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, with flexible start and finish time between 06:15 - 09:30 and 14:30 - 18:00
