**RESPONSIBLE TO**:
Supervisor

**JOB PURPOSE**:
**Working in a patient health unit**.** **To support the Facilities Services in the provision of a professional domestic facilities service to the required quality. To ensure cleanliness of the contract and ensure cleaning carried out to required standard.**

This Job Description is not exhaustive and other duties and responsibilities of a similar level and nature may be required from time to time.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULTS AREAS**:
1.

To carry out generic and specific duties which will include general cleaning, deep cleaning, removing, and washing curtains, steam cleaning of furniture, mopping, scrubbing floors.

2.

Operation of domestic equipment in accordance with training

3.

Report any faults in any equipment or building to Supervisor.

4.

Undergo any necessary training

5.

The post holder will be required to work Monday to Friday between 5pm - 7:30pm

6.

To ensure compliance with Health & Safety, ISO9002, Infection Control and COSHH regulations while undertaking duties consummate with the post

Demonstrate a clear and effective alignment with the operational objectives and the commercial interests of MFM

**AUTONOMY**:

- Post holder may be required to work un-supervised.
- The post holder will have regular contact with their line manager
- The post holders work may be checked

**ENVIRONMENT**:
**Physical**:
Post holder will be required to work with substances controlled under COSHH regulation

Post will involve elements of manual handling

**Health & Safety**:
The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and amendments state it is the responsibility of all employees to comply with Health and Safety Law. The post holder will be required to attend all statutory Health and Safety training.

The postholder is required to comply with the Company's Health & Safety strategy, policy and procedure to ensure a safe and healthy environment for staff members, visitors, patients, contractors and others. The postholder must comply with the designated levels of responsibility as detailed within the IFM Ltd, Health and Safety Plan.

**No Smoking**:
There is a policy of No Smoking in all Mitie/hospital premises. Smoking is only permissible in certain designated areas.

**Location**:
You may be required to work at other Mitie locations from time to time. Reasonable notice of any such changes will be provided.
