**About The Role**:
If you like to work outdoors, and are happy to work in all weathers, this may be the job for you
The Grounds Maintenance Team look after some 550 plus sites across Dorset, ranging from school grounds, care homes and libraries to Dorset Council's own properties. The work entails grass cutting, hedge and shrub border maintenance, sports pitch marking to name just a few of the tasks.
We offer an in-house service to the Council, providing a quick response solution to issues and requirements that arise across the whole of Dorset.
You would be working as part of a team, assisting your Team Leader to maintain a high standard, cost effective delivery.
Being a good team player is therefore essential, as is an ability to be self motivated and hard working.
Good communication and presentation skills are also required as you will be approached by our clients as well as members of the public from time to time.
As a member of the Grounds Maintenance team you will be representing the service, promoting its work and be an advocate for Dorset Council and its partners.
