**Job Title: Project Planner**

**Base Location**: Gilwell Park, Chingford, London (homebased can be considered)

**Term**: Fixed term for 2 years

**Salary**: £52,000 Band G, Level 3, inclusive outer London weighting and a market supplement

**Hours**: 35 hours per week

**The Project Planner Role**:
As a **Project Planner**, you will work with the team to scope operational projects and large pieces of business as usual work within Safe Scouting, prioritising resources and planning out activities needed to reach the desired deliverables, outcomes and benefits. As part of working on operational projects, you will support the PMOs role as a centre of excellence by helping to review and make changes to resources as needed to best support users.

**Key responsibilities as our Project Planner**:

- Determine the input needed from Safe Scouting to deliver work within the different programmes of work to realise the strategy. Working with Project Managers and teams across the Portfolio to understand the asks and requirements
- High level sequencing of safe scouting projects, large business as usual (BAU) activities and programme input activities to visually demonstrate capacity and timelines
- Lead the work on prioritising resources and highlight where issues/ pinch points may occur and present possible solutions to senior stakeholders
- Be the point of contact for Safe Scouting on project management support and training
- Lead and facilitate scoping and planning of operational projects and large BAU activities timelines and resources to achieve deliverables, outcomes and benefits
- Determine the transition of operational projects from delivery and closure into business as usual

**What we are looking for in our Project Planner**:

- Excellence in project planning and organisational skills, able to coordinate, prioritise and lead planning activities
- Engaging training and presenting style, adapting to different learning styles and needs
- Leadership and group facilitation
- Ability to use project & programme management techniques, tools, and software
- Ability to problem solve proactively and demonstrate critical thinking
- Strong track record of project planning including robust scheduling and budget management
