Apprentice Sign Writer

**The job itself**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Streetscene for the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

Do you have an interest and enthusiasm for sign making?

Are you committed to working towards a Level 3 Signage Technician Apprenticeship Standard?

We require an apprentice for early summer 2023. You will be part of an experienced team who are committed to supporting and developing new team members.

As our Apprentice Sign Maker, you will assist in the design and manufacturing of signs.

We are looking for someone who is organised, has good communication skills and pays attention to detail.

Some examples of the work you will carry out are:

- Creation of road signs for East Riding of Yorkshire Council and neighbouring authorities
- Vehicle wrapping and signage
- Creating and installing high visibility signage and logos on council vehicles
- Printing, cutting and laminating vinyl

This is a 27 month fixed term role, based at our depot at Annie Reed Road, Beverley, working 37 hours per week.

You will need to hold a minimum or have a predicted minimum of 2 GCSEs (at a minimum of grade 4 or equivalent) in English and Maths.

You must be committed to work towards and achieve (and do not already hold) the Level 3 Signage Technician Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
