**About us**
The role is part of the Vale of Glamorgan, ALN Service, within the Vale of Glamorgan’s Wellbeing and ALN Directorate. The job is working alongside other ALN Lead Officers who work with school age pupils, early years and post 16 pupils in schools and settings and Further Education Institute’s across the Vale of Glamorgan with pupils from birth to 25. Your role would include all pupils and have a specific emphasis on CLA ,EHE and Eotas. You would lead the development, monitoring and review of IDPs, ALPs and PCP approach across the Vale of Glamorgan. You would be part of small but energetic and supportive team who are passionate about supporting pupils with ALN.

Pay Details: Lead Practitioner scale Point 6 -8 £51,250 - £53,843

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 32.5 hrs, 5 days per week, temporary.

Main Place of Work: Work would be based in the Civic Offices, but extend across the Vale of Glamorgan in schools and EY settings and Further Education Institute’s

**Description**:
To take a strategic role in the local authority’s school provision for children and young people with Additional Learning Needs in the Vale of Glamorgan and work with schools to support ALN. To ensure, by coordinating actions, that learners with ALN in settings, nursery’s, schools and FEIs, with additional learning needs have their barriers to learning appropriately identified and met and supported. To liaise with CLA, EHE and EOTAS teams. for the identification of additional learning needs (ALN).To ensure systems are in place that support, monitor, review and quality assure the development of Individual Development Plans (IDP’s) and Additional learning Provision ( ALPs). To provide ALN training for schools, settings and LA to ensure quality IDPS, ALPs, assessments and PCP procedures are in place. To Ensure clear information is available regarding the IDP process and to promote knowledge, understanding and implementation of the ALNET Act 2018 To collect, collate and interpret ALN evidence and data to inform future planning of services.
