An excellent opportunity has arisen at a Market Leading manufacturing company seeking to bring a Laer Operator on board to join the team. This role offers technical challenge, and routes for longer term development

**Role Description**
- Operate overhead gantry cranes via radio remote/pendant control to load material for Laser.
- Process lengths of steel precisely using the Laser, as per instructions.
- Store processed material safely in designated areas, to ensure product is accessible in line with company working practices.
- Drive mobile plant such as forklift trucks, side-tracker, etc. and road-based vehicles for loading and transportation purposes, as required.
- Pick items for the laser maintaining a constant workflow and enabling optimum laser capacity.
- Goods Inwards - Unload material and prepare warehouse for future loads.
- Complete daily pre-shift check sheets.
- Work efficiently to maximize laser production and minimize down time.
- Liaise with Cad Technicians, other Operatives and Management as appropriate.
- Report any Laser/plant defects promptly and accurately.
- Undertake stock checks as required.
- Follow all company safe systems of work as per training, risk assessments and safe working procedures provided

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Enthusiastic, self motivated and willing to learn all aspects of the role
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills, demonstrating an ability to communicate in a professional manner and build strong working relationships internally and externally.
- Show potential to be adaptable and work at pace in a highly demanding environment, with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing timescales and priorities
- Demonstrate good analytical and effective problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Evidence of good organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met
- Experience with lasering ideally tube lasering
- Understanding of H&S, and housekeeping rules
