Aim of this role
We now need to develop our HR function, so that it better supports our existing staff, and the recruitment of high quality new members of the team. The role is designed to ensure all staff are both productive and happy.
Specifically the role should;
Ensure company standards, processes and policies are effectively applied.
Play a vital role in the ambitious recruitment plans.

Key Duties
Specific HR duties include;
HR Administration
Managing the full end to end process of the employee lifecycle from recruitment, offers, induction of new starters, reference checks, probationary reviews, processing different types of leave e.g., sickness, family friendly leave etc., performance reviews, through the end of employment.
Ensuring that all key deadlines are met to deliver a great service e.g., payroll deadlines, pension contributions, administration of benefits etc.
Compiling accurate data to process the monthly payroll.
Providing support and guidance to line managers when they need support on employee issues, e.g., guidance on interpretation of policies, absence management, minor misconduct, accessing external HR consultancy support as required.
Maintain company records on our systems.
Recruitment
Lead all recruitment activities for the businesses to achieve growth plans.
Develop the company’s recruitment process, utilising effective systems and approaches.
Managing recruitment from approval of vacancy, placement of advert, shortlisting, coordinating with applicants, supporting in interviews through to offer stage.
Ensuring full compliance with the Equality Act 2010, Right to Work checks, background checks etc.
Performance Management Framework
Develop the company’s performance management process through the assessment of the company’s needs.
Monitor line managers completion of the key steps in the performance management process.
Support managers with their approach to performance review meetings.
Staff Development
Capture any training and development needs from the performance management process, presenting these to the board.
Support the business in putting in place the delivery of approved training requirements.
Where required, research and support the implementation of approved training.
Staff Well-Being
Research and propose suitable staff well-being initiatives for approval of the board.
Implement the approved staff well-being initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
HR Administration experience of 1 year plus.
Good, rounded experience of the HR function and in particular recruitment.
Experience of providing HR advice and support to managers and employees.
A good understanding of the education sector.
