- To manage warehouse area to fulfil orders to the required specification and standards. The individual will manage the resources of raw material, packaging, and yard in order to achieve or better the budgeted cost of transportation.
- To supervise and lead the warehouse team to ensure that orders are dispatched on time.
- Organise and communicate deliveries with all customers
- Accept, check and intake all deliveries and ensure allocated to warehouse as per procedure
- Manage the waste disposal contract
- Ensure that teams are trained in accordance with all Operating Procedures.
- Maintain hygiene standards and the implementations of all procedures to meet BRC, GMP & HACCP systems
- Participate in daily production meetings with the production and planning team
- Conduct & manage monthly stock takes
- Management of employees to include training, timekeeping, disciplinary and general staff performance with the support of HR.
- The Warehouse & Distribution Co-ordinator will be responsible for the daily running of the warehouse including goods in and out and ensuring all customer deliveries requirements are met
- Help to develop and maintain a highly competent and engaged team through by identifying areas of improvement in order to maintain a high skill base.

**Key Tasks**

**Warehouse Responsibilities**
- Ensure that the warehouse is run to site procedures e.g. goods are booked in and stored correctly according to allergen / temperature plans, allocate space efficiently and record location
- Ensuring all warehouse and storage spaces are kept clean, tidy and compliant with BRC requirements
- Accurate completion of monthly stock take
- Manage third party storage & transport efficiently
- Ensure stock rotation is managed within the stores
- Ensure that the picking all raw materials and packaging is completed accurately
- Ensure that deliveries conform to specification e.g., temperature of egg on receipt
- Daily checks of freezer and fridge temperatures
- After production planning assess what stock/packaging is required for production and liaise with ordering to ensure stock is on site for production, identify stock issues that can affect production.

**Distribution Duties**
- Manage all distribution and transport to ensure delivery dates are met and goods are delivered to customer requirements e.g. Labelling of pallets, GIST IDD documents and other customer requests
- Ensure distribution records are accurately kept up to date
- Complete dispatch sheets with all relevant and correct information - case counts, juliennes, pallet numbers.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the warehouse and transport team to ensure high standards at all times and safe working environment at all times
- Liaising with quality assurance, purchasing and transport areas to ensure prompt shipment of product.
- Maintaining GMP/Housekeeping at a high level within warehouse and yard through the involvement of all team members.
- Ensure warehouse employees are trained to complete their relevant duties and all training is documented
- To manage, develop and motivate your staff including recruitment, performance, and training
- You will oversee all operational activities, warehouse, transport, oversee health & safety for your area.
- Ensure warehouse, yard and personnel conform to health and safety legislation, policy and standards, identifying any required actions so that the area of responsibility is healthy, safe and accident free.
- Ensure the team complies with quality, legislation standards and specifications, identifying and initiating actions as required to produce a quality product.
- Ensuring the team complies with all food safety policies and procedures, (e.g. HACCP, BRC) in order to meet the requirements of professional and legal standards.
- Maintain company and statutory hygiene standards throughout designated areas, including promoting the principles of basic food hygiene and good housekeeping.

**General Responsibilities**
- Generation of “KPI” information, reviewing operation KPI data and feeding key elements back to Directors.
- Basic knowledge of HR policies in relation to the employment of people (recruitment, induction, probation, training, appraisal, absence, discipline etc.).
- Ensure compliance with company internal processes and procedures including H&S.
- Food Safety & compliance to Quality Manual and Company Policies.
- Office duties as required including answer telephones, office housekeeping and general duties.

- H&S of warehouse, yard and production office

Hours are 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
