Summary

Morecambe Bay Academy is looking to recruit a team of Non-Teaching Heads of Year to support the social, emotional and academic development of our students.
As a non-teaching pastoral lead, you will be responsible for a year group, working closely with a Key Stage Manager and other members of the student support team to successfully identify and help overcome any barriers faced by some of our young people, to ensure all our students within your year group display positive behaviour and attitudes, have excellent attendance and make outstanding academic progress.

Essential Qualifications

GCSE Grade C or above in English and mathematics or equivalent

Experience working with Children or Young people

Desirable Qualifications

Relevant degree of equivalent level of comparable experience

Training to support emotional, social or development needs

Safeguarding trained

Experience working in a school environment

Essential Experience

Proven experience of working with young people age 11 - 16 in a voluntary or other professional capacity

Proven recent experience of the implementation of Child Protection & Safeguarding policies and procedures

Desirable Experience

Experience of working in a school or local government environment

Experience of working with young people within the secondary sector (11-19)
