Hanging Hall Operative

**Job description**

Pickstock Foods Ltd is a family run lamb and sheep abattoir and cutting plant located outside of the village of Hartshorne near the town of Swadlincote in Derbyshire. We source lambs and sheep from around Great Britain as well as our own farms to supply to the domestic and export markets.

The factory is a five minute drive from junction 13 of the A42 and is located in a beautiful rural setting within the National Forest.

The factory and it's site has been recently renovated and modernised from 2019-2020 following relocation of the previous occupants in 2014, and features a brand new state-of-the-art slaughter line and cutting plant.

**We are now looking for Hanging Hall Operatives to join the team.**

**To assist in the loading and sorting of carcasses in a timely, hygienic and accurate manner.**
- Grading, sorting, and storing fresh lamb and mutton carcasses following slaughter.
- Working alongside the sales team to process and fulfil customer orders in a timely manner using a bespoke MRP software programme.
- Scanning and organising carcasses, offal and boxed primal cuts.
- Manually handing the products to load them.
- Assist in the loading and sorting of carcasses in a timely, hygienic, and accurate manner.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.00-£13.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Swadlincote DE11 7FN: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) We are located in the Countryside and although there is a Bus route which passes us, at the moment it does not begin at our start times.

Work Location: In person

**Salary**: From £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
