Head of Finance

Tate are delighted to be supporting our client who are recruiting for a Head of Finance.

Based in South Devon, this role will suit an accomplished Finance professional, who is experienced at providing leadership and motivation of a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are essential to ensure the continued development of the business partnering strategy, providing impact and context of financial reporting on performance and insight linking financial performance to business strategies.

The duties of this position will include
- Management accounting, budgeting and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data
- Leading the finance team through guidance and support, coaching, training and development, monitoring workloads and performance
- Overseeing taxation, ensuring returns are filed in a timely and accurate manner
- Overseeing the production of statutory accounts
- Effective stakeholder management
- Continual improvement of systems and processes
- Extensive experience in financial management and reporting
- Proven team management and development
- Demonstrable knowledge of UK VAT
- Fully qualified active member of a recognised professional accounting institute ie ICAEW, ICAS, CIMA, ACCA
- Excellent communication skills
