Are you a hardworking **Cellar Assistant** looking for a permanent role based in the centre of Chester? Chester Race Company have the fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual to join us within the Horseradish Catering division.

The successful **Cellar Assistant** will be responsible for supporting the Cellar Manager in the smooth and safe running of the cellar and the secure storage and efficient transfer of stock around Chester Race Company sites and event locations.

**The successful Cellar Assistant will **be responsible for**:

- Taking in deliveries of stock and transferring into the cellar efficiently.
- Following goods receiving procedures.
- Identifying and monitoring stock approaching use by dates.
- Actively reporting and separating out-of-date stock to ensure it does not end up in circulation.
- Assisting Horseradish events and bar training events to monitor breakdowns of stock and clean sites (both on & off-site events when required).
- Assist with Bangor-on-Dee racecourse bar set up, product placement and opening stock counts.
- Monitoring and reporting cellar & bar maintenance issues.
- Issuing stock to onsite bars.

**The successful Cellar Assistant will have the following**:

- Experience within the bar or events industry.
- Physically fit and able to manoeuvre heavy / bulky loads.
- Ability to manage workload in a pressured environment.
- Detail orientated and self-motivated.

**Hours of work**:40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7.
To include weekends when required for events.

**Salary**:£27,500 per annum
