**Position**: Revenues Assistant

**Rate**: £33 per hour (Umbrella)

**Contract Duration**: 4 - 6 months (with possible extension)

**Working Hours**: Monday to Friday, 8:45 am to 5:15 pm

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of Council Tax billing, collection and recovery activities.
- Must have a knowledge of NNDR recovery.
- Must be able to deliver a front line service, with clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work under pressure to meet the demands of the service. This will require the ability to process high levels of work whilst maintaining accuracy.
- Must be able to undertake recovery activities including attachment to earnings, deductions from benefits and special arrangements to maximise collection.

**Job Requirements**:

- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- At least 2 years’ experience within a Revenues/Council Tax role or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills with proven ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal), in particular when resolving complaints and other matters.
