**Salary**: £12-£15 per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Support Assistant to join a school in Liverpool and provide tailored support to a Year 2 boy with limited speech abilities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child's educational journey and contribute to their overall development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the classroom teacher to implement a bespoke curriculum that meets the individual needs of the student.
- Provide one-on-one support to the student throughout the day, assisting with communication, comprehension, and engagement in learning activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where the student feels supported and empowered to participate to the best of their ability.
- Collaborate with other staff members, including speech therapists and special education professionals, to develop and implement strategies to enhance the student's communication skills and academic progress.
- Monitor the student's progress and provide regular feedback to the classroom teacher and relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with personal care tasks and ensure the student's safety and well-being at all times.

Qualifications:

- Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with limited speech abilities, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of communication strategies and assistive technologies to support individuals with speech difficulties.
- Patient, empathetic, and compassionate approach to working with children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
- Relevant qualifications in special education, speech therapy, or a related field would be advantageous.
