We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated team. The role requires someone who has the ability to multi-task and has strong administration skills as well as a good understanding of account management and finances. Duties will be varied, including liaising with prospective and existing parents, ordering resources, managing service contracts as well as maintaining excellent record keeping.

The Administrator role is responsible for supporting the pre-school in delivering high standards of pupil well-being and attainment through the provision of efficient and effective administrative support. This includes clerical and financial responsibilities. _**The role is for 14 hours per week and can be worked across the week between 8.30am and 3.30pm.**_

**ORGANISATION**
- Be the face of the pre-school - welcoming visitors and liaising with existing and prospective parents.

**ADMINISTRATION**
- Undertake typing, word-processing and other IT based tasks.
- Sort and distribute mail and other deliveries.
- Liaise with support services and external agencies e.g. local authorities, Department for Education.
- Help maintain effective communication with parents, including through the pre-school website and newsletters.
- Ensure that the pre-school meets its statutory responsibilities in relation to administrative domains e.g. admissions.
- Ensure that equipment and resources are managed effectively and cost-effectively in support of educational and organisational objectives.
- Monitor and maintain manual and computerised records (pupil and staff), including the pre-school’s Finance System (Croner).
- Ensure the completion of HEADCOUNT returns, including the investigation and resolution of errors, so that information submitted is comprehensive and accurate.
- Assist with admissions and its associated administration, to ensure the pre-school maintains optimal pupil numbers.

**FINANCE**
- Lead on financial processing, including paying service providers and invoicing for parental fees.
- Liaise with suppliers where necessary, for ordering and financial queries.
- Ensure that all finance procedures are carried out in line with current regulation and assist the Manager with financial returns and reports.
- Create half termly budget reports and an annual projection for the following academic year.
- Where appropriate, obtain comparative quotes in order to achieve best value for money.
- Ensure all staff are paid accurately and on time and resolve any queries related to payroll.

**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the pre-school.
- Attend and participate in relevant meetings, as required.
- Participate in training and other pre-school development opportunities.
- Be aware of and comply with Wargrave Pre-School policies and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection.

The postholder may be expected to undertake other tasks commensurate with the post and level of responsibility, as directed by the Manager or Chair. The postholder may be required to travel to local authority led training where necessary.
