Laundry Assistant

Responsible to Housekeeper Purpose of Position:

- To be aware of the resident's laundry needs.
- To ensure that residents have clean & well-maintained laundry that is presented to the required standard.
- To ensure that every resident enjoys clean laundered bedding.

Principal Responsibilities:

- To manage the laundry procedures as required whilst preventing unnecessary build-up.
- To be responsible for the maintenance of the laundry equipment and the daily de-fluffing of the dryer(s), reporting any defects to the Housekeeper.

To ensure the correct use of billy bags with particular regard to soiled and infectious linen.

To allocate clothes to their appropriate baskets.

To ensure the beds are changed and presentable each day.

To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £9.50 per hour

**Experience**:

- Laundry Occupations: 1 year (preferred)
