Level 3 Childcare Practitioner

**Hello, and welcome to Hop Skip and Jump Nursery**

Due to rapidly increasing numbers, we are expanding our small and friendly team, and we are looking for qualified, enthusiastic Childcare Practitioners to join us

**About You**

Although childcare is incredibly rewarding, being a Childcare Practitioner can be an energetic and fast-paced role, so enthusiasm and passion for childcare are essential

If you work well within a small team, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible (and sometimes messy) environment, we look forward to welcoming you for an interview and a taster session.

**Qualifications**

You must have or be working toward an HNC or SVQ 3 in a childcare relevant qualification.

Experience in the role of a Childcare Practitioner preferred, but more important is your enthusiasm and sense of fun

All staff members must be registered with the SSSC and be PVG certified.

Additional qualifications in Child Protection, Food Hygiene, and support for additional needs are welcome, but access to online training opportunities will be provided.

**The Role**

Your duties as part of this role will be:
** caring for children aged between 2-5 years of age

** helping to set out and put away equipment and resources at the start and end of each session

** helping to prepare snack and hot lunches for the children

** ensuring a secure, safe and simulating environment for the children in accordance with the National Standards for Excellence

** completing paperwork relevant to children's progress and achievements, including Progress Trackers and observations
- helping maintain the nursery's strict Infection Prevention and Control measures

**Hours**

After a test period of eleven weeks, the position is temporary until June, although there is a possibility of a long-term position becoming available. The position is term-time only.

**Monday to Friday: 12.00 - 15.15**

**Monday to Friday: 08.30 - 15.15**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £9.90-£10.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

COVID-19 considerations:
All adults must wear masks on nursery grounds, unless exempt. Children must wash their hands upon entering the nursery building and all surfaces and resources are cleaned and disinfected multiple times per day.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Forres, IV36 1BL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
