Head of Housekeeping

**Head of Housekeeping - Dereham - 40 hours a week**

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our hardworking Housekeeping team at this residential/nursing care home in Dereham, our team here really do care about our residents and are dedicated and warm-hearted.

**The Role**:
The Head of Housekeeping will manage the laundry and all domestic service areas, working closely with the housekeeping team to provide strong leadership and management to ensure the highest service standards are achieved and always maintained. **Key responsibilities**:

- Ensure the housekeeping team are delivering the highest standards of cleanliness, whilst providing a safe and hygienic environment for residents and staff, in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all tasks undertaken are with full consideration to the comfort, security and sensitivity of the residents.
- The Head of Housekeeping will have knowledge of and to ensure that staff are aware of all health and safety and COSHH legal requirements.
- Understand the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and the properties of cleaning materials to ensure that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
- Manage rotas and ensure correct team member levels are on shift at any time.
- Order all cleaning and consumable supplies for the home ensuring all purchases made are within budget.
- Providing leadership to the housekeeping team in directing tasks as well as performing hands on housekeeping and laundry activities when required.
- Ensure that you and the housekeeping team carry out all your duties to a high standard, ensuring a high level of cleanliness to our residents.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all colleagues, residents and, visitors to the home.

**Experience**:

- housekeeping: 3 years (preferred)
