Men’s Football Coach

Working with the Director of Sport, the Students’ Union and key sports staff, the role will provide leadership for the specified sports in order to drive the development of a high-performance sport culture at the University.

The appointee will be expected to take training, select the squad and oversee match day preparation and performance across the course of the season. Goals will be set in conjunction with the Director of Sport and sports facilities line management. This role will require a 4 hours per week; evening working and the ability to travel to fixtures with the team will be expected.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the university as we deliver a new sports strategy. It is essential that the individual has an up-to-date Level 2 Coaching Award (which clearly includes currently first aid, safeguarding and equity qualifications), as well as having experience of coaching in a performance sport environment. The ability to influence and inspire others, set and maintain high standards and having excellent communication skills are core requirements of the post.
