The post sits within our Performance, Outcomes & Quality Assurance Service in the People Directorate (Children and Adults Services) which has made excellent progress on its improvement journey to transform the lives of the vulnerable across the County.

**About the role**

As a Voice Lead Worker, you will support delivery of our commitment to listen to our Adult Care customers and ensure that they are at the centre of our services.

You will ensure that Wiltshire Council maximises customer participation, ensuring that people are engaged in the design and development of services delivered to them and are involved in decision-making regarding these services.

Within the role you will ensure that customers are involved in scrutinising and inspecting services across Wiltshire. You will support customers to work directly with leaders and decision-makers to influence change from senior levels and cascade learning through the organisation. You will amongst other aspects of the role facilitate the engagement and participation of adult care customers in any relevant groups and forums.

The purpose of the Voice Lead Worker’s role is to maximise adult care customers participation in the design and development of services delivered to them and to ensure they are involved in decision-making regarding these services. This role will help to ensure that voice is at the centre of the quality assurance framework for our services with the aim of improving engagement and maintaining the participation of customers in the groups and forums; empowering them to have their say and make a difference.

**About You**

You will ned to hold a professional degree level qualification such as Social Work, Teaching, Occupational Therapy, community work, or Nursing, as well as a strong commitment to customers of adult care services and an understanding of the factors that affect their lives.

Proven ability to communicate and establish good relationships with all people (including those who have special needs or a disability) and a strong desire and ability to lead and drive forward voice initiatives, as well as a broad range of experience working with or within adult care.
