We're looking for a Cook to join our team at Buckland Abbey.

**Hours**:1352 hours per year, on average 30 hours/4 days per week, 8am - 3pm. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the year. Less hours will be worked during the months of November and January because Buckland Abbey is only open on weekends.

**Weekend, weekday and holiday working will be required.**

**Salary**:£11.00 per hour

**Duration**:fixed-term contract for 12 months

What it's like to work here:Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you'll be based at Buckland Abbey. When you visit Buckland, you follow over 700 years of footsteps; from the Cistercians who built the Abbey and farmed the estate, to seafarers Grenville and Drake who changed the shape of the house and the fate of the country. The Abbey is part museum, part house, and filled with treasures. There’s no mistaking the magnificence of the Great Barn, which has remained virtually unchanged since it was built all those centuries ago.

What you'll be doing:You’ll enjoy preparing food from scratch using fresh/seasonal ingredients and will be confident with creating bakes, making, soups, stews, sausage rolls and preparing & presenting food to order served directly to the customers over busy lunchtime periods.

You'll receive a bespoke induction, allergen/food safety training and the coaching required to fulfil in role. Further professional training & development opportunities are available
