We have an opportunity at Medway Hospital for an enthusiastic Band 5 Dietitian to join our friendly team of dietitians. We have recently expanded our team and are looking for dietitians who are able to provide evidence-based care to be part of our forward thinking department.
Working in a supportive team of therapists, and specifically in a growing dietetic team, you will be responsible for providing dietetic care to a varied patient group including frailty, respiratory, general medical wards, care of the elderly, short stay and surgical assessment units.
You will also have the opportunity to gain experience alongside senior Dietitians in gastroenterology, surgery, critical care and oncology. As you develop you will be involved in supervision of student placements and Dietetic assistants, and play a key role in raising the profile of dietetics across the trust and within the MDT.

To provide timely dietetic care to patients, working effectively as part of the acute dietetic team.
To participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary meetings to provide a coordinated, evidence based approach to patient care.
To support the wider Dietetic team during periods of increased demand and play an active role in the supervision and learning of others, including student placements.
7 day and extended hours working patterns may apply.
Rotations to relevant clinical areas are possible.
