Archaeology Warwickshire is a progressive and aspirational commercial archaeology and heritage provider with a core ethos centred on team-wide continuous professional development and career progression. We have a reputation for high-quality and innovative projects deeply rooted in our regional expertise and we take pride in the added value we can generate for our customers. We help each other be the best we can be and deliver the most interesting results possible.

Once part of our team you can expect extensive and fully-funded training, opportunities to develop specialisms, a healthy work-life balance not predicated on crisscrossing the country and to be treated with respect. Senior Archaeological Officers can expect to become Principal Archaeological Officers (Level 6) once proven. Although you will be based in our bespoke new office in Warwick you will have an Agile contract that allows you to work remotely across the hours that suit your (and importantly we think, your family’s) needs (where project demands permit). Fieldwork will mostly be within one hour of the office and you will be paid to travel to and from site. If travelling takes longer than an hour you will be offered high-quality accommodation and expenses.

Archaeology Warwickshire is a trading arm of Warwickshire County Council and as part of our team you can expect full local authority benefits including an excellent pension, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) rising to 38 after 4 years), additional hours payments, top quality (eg Rab / Northface) waterproofs, thermal coats, trousers, socks, fleeces and safety boots - replenished when needed, a range of staff discounts and 100% CIfA fees and conference costs.

We are a CIfA Registered Organisation and we encourage all our staff to get involved for the betterment of the profession.

Applicants must have a driving licence and CIfA membership or commitment to join at ACIfA or above.
