The role will involve supporting the pupils with their learning and communicating effectively with Class Teachers to ensure appropriate strategies are used that are suited to the individual needs and learning styles of the pupils to allow them to engage with their learning and make excellent progress.

This role will involve:

- Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and SEND on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner. - Building positive relationships with Class Teachers to discuss strategies and learning activities.
- Preparing resources for lessons.
- Having a "hands on" approach to supporting the pupils in their learning, with a willingness to interact, engage and form a positive rapport with pupils.

This role requires:

- An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you)
- An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff.
- A resilient, proactive, and positive nature - Experience in classrooms supporting students.
- High levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with pupils.
- A genuine passion for helping young people to fulfil their potential and flourish in education.
- An enthusiastic approach and a willingness to engage with and form positive relationships with pupils.
