Kennel Assistant

Duties:

- Provide care and supervision for animals in a kennel environment
- Feed and water animals according to their specific dietary needs
- Clean kennels and maintain a clean and sanitary environment
- Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Walk dogs and provide exercise and playtime for animals
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the appropriate staff member
- Provide basic customer service by answering questions and providing information about services

**Requirements**:

- 6 months previous experience in pet care or related field is required
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
- Comfortable with heavy lifting, as some animals may require assistance
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients
- Basic knowledge of animal behavior and common health issues
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to and from work
