Derwent Hill opened in 1962 and is one of the premier Outdoor Education Centres in the UK. The Centre is fully owned and operated by Sunderland City Council with the core purpose of providing high quality outdoor education and training. Our vision is that all young people growing up in Sunderland will have the opportunity of benefitting from an outdoor adventure residential at Derwent Hill.

We are seeking to appoint a full-time, permanent Tutor to join our operations team. The Tutor will become part of the wider course delivery Team leading and delivering outdoor education and development training courses. There are currently five permanent Tutors at the Centre all reporting to the Operations Manager.
