**Being an intern at The Sun** is a gateway to a great career in journalism. During this paid internship you will get full training, 5 days a week with The Sun doing the job and gaining market leading experience.

**The Role**: You will spend time with our industry leading editorial team, supporting our social media team in the posting of content across our channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. You will learn how to shape a post to ensure it has the best chance of performing well on that platform. You’ll learn everything we can teach you about how to create content, tell and share stories, attract, grow and capture an audience.

You will receive mentoring and coaching bespoke to you and delivered by some of the most experienced and journalists in the industry.

At the end of the 6 month programme you’ll complete your internship with great experiences, knowledge and network in journalism. There is no better way to start your journalism career than an internship with us.

**What we are looking for from you**:

- Excellent writing skills with the ability to deliver vibrant, clean copy to very tight deadlines.
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms and current affairs
- Passion for social media and up with all the latest trends and hashtags.
- Flexible attitude to working hours across seven days including evenings and weekends in line with breaking news.
- An understanding of The Sun brand, both print and digital and social media.
- Positive can-do attitude and good team player.

More than anything you have a passion for learning and will grab this opportunity with both hands with the aspiration of being a creative force.
