Our client, a major distributor of alcoholic beverages is seeking a **Credit Controller **to join their team based in **Belfast City Centre.**

**Pay Rate**: £17.95 Per Hour + Holiday Pay

**Working Hours**:Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (2 days in office, 3 days from home)

**Job Type**:Full Time, Temporary (potential to extend)

**This role supports the Credit Team Leader, with a clear focus on reporting, key performance indicator (KPI) reviews and building credit capability within the team.**

**Job Duties**:

- Work within the Sell to Cash team, reporting through the Island of Ireland (IOI) Credit Manager.
- Support all channels in ROI and NI.

- Report and share performance of the team at monthly performance meetings.
- Review and enforce all rules of governance surrounding the Credit Policy, Credit Insurance, Risk Criteria and Control and Risk Management (CARM) processes.
- Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations and work with auditors to provide all samples for testing.
- Deputise for the IOI Credit TL in their absence.
- Support the TL to deliver team performance and maximise the cash conversion in Ireland on a weekly and monthly basis. This is a key deliverable for the country.
- Responsible for KPI reporting, analysis and commentary.
- Improve our Risk and Credit Process Capability through various local and global learning programmes and coaching.
- Work closely with Credit Execs and external legal service provider to maximise debt recovery on aged debts.
- Other key deliverables as required in the role held by the TL.

**Job Criteria**:

- Leaving Certificate or 5 GCSE grade A-C including Maths and English / A post leaving qualification in a business related or Credit Discipline would be advantageous
- This role sits within the Sell to Cash team, reporting through the Island of Ireland (IOI) Credit Manager. The role supports all channels in ROI and NI.
- Proven ability to deliver under time pressure is particularly important.
- At least 2 years Credit Control experience with high volume of customers
- Proven ability to deliver consistent high quality results in a target driven environment.
- Be assertive in all situations.
- Computer literacy is necessary - knowledge of Sap/Salesforce (or equivalent) and intermediate Excel/Word are essential
