Devops Manager - WFH / WF - £50-£55k + Bonus + Benefits

My client is looking for an experienced DevOps Manager to join and lead their current internal function and shape the department moving forward.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known forward thinking company that is always exploring new concepts.
They are based in offices packed with the latest, cutting edge technology in Wakefield.
This is a full-time role that offers the opportunity for hybrid working (minimum 3 days in the office).
Salary is between £50-£55k initially with a great benefits package including financial rewards alongside some really great money saving incentives

This is a very proactive, influential and crucial role within the business to ensure their build agent is resilient, well structured and maintained.

Experience in code and deployment is essential in order to understand the code base and the environment it’s deployed to.
- Create and maintain a roadmap to inspire the team.
- Currently the team consists of: SRE, Cloud Engineer, Source Control Administrator, and Junior Build Engineer
- Make long term strategic choices for the team.
- Drive for as much service uptime as possible for our internal developers and global partners.
- Proactively be involved with other departments for knowledge sharing, problem solving, and to identify bottlenecks.
- Support the team through coaching and reviews.
- Oversee the AWS/Cloud environment.
- Architect and manage the CI/CD platform and implementation.
- Oversee the IaC deployments to the Windows and Linux environments for all build related services.
- Advise and understand requirements from the development teams.
- Automate frequent manual tasks performed in development.
- Own deployment and maintenance of build and deploy adjacent services. (e.g. our automated testing service, Unreal game sync, Robomerge, Incredibuild, etc).
- Inform other departments within operations to drive developer requirements (e.g. assisting in the design of the active directory structure).
- Simplify complex pipelines by creating abstractions to expose only the required logic for users.
