Bluestones staffing is working with a leading distrubution company in the Belfast area and due to continued growth they have a requirement for fork lift operator

Location - Belfast

Hours : Monday to Friday shift work one week 8am to 4pm and one week 1pm to 9pm

Salary £12.59phr and evening shift £15.05PHR

**MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB**

This role will impact on the success of the company through the Support of Blends Plant operation to meet the mill and auditor requirements. There will also be a role in covering the production over breaks throughout the day.

**PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

The role will ensure
- All relevant records and documents are accurately maintained.
- All relevant Work Instructions and Operating Procedures are compiled with the Quality Departments then adhered to
- All housekeeping activities are adhered to.
- All company policy is complied with and supported.
- All Health & Safety procedures are adhered to.
- Induction, company training and appraisal is supported as required.
- Personal training and development needs are identified with manager.
- Induction, company training and appraisal is supported as required.
- All relevant training is attended.
- Filters are cleaned as required.
- Magnets are cleaned in line with work instructions and recorded.
- Waste is disposed of in line with management procedures.
- Any Cleaning and greasing activities are carried out in the Blend Plant and are recorded as required.
- Transport Raw material, Waste, Totes Bins to / from Blends & Warehouse via FLT
- Support Blends Plant Operators to maintain Effective operation of the Blend Plant, in line with work instructions to maximise production.
- Effective communication is maintained with the Blend Plant Operator, Production Controller and Shift Manager in relation to operational issues.
- Blends are visually inspected, sampled, tested and records are maintained in line with the Operating Procedure
- Quality issues are raised with the Production & Quality departments and are dealt with in accordance with the Work Instruction & Operating Procedure
- Contamination is avoided during changeovers and any anti contamination measures are recorded on the work sheet.
- The damping/rolling system is set up in line with work instructions and operational - thus rolled product is available to blend.
- Effective allocation of products to finished product bins in conjunction with customer services.
- Accurate hand tipping of products to meet formulation requirements as required.
- Damaged materials &/ products are dealt with in line with management procedures.
- Effective liaison & communication with internal departments as required.
- Vehicles are loaded either from bins or directly from the Blend Plant
- Receipt of fats and molasses
- Grinder’s beaters are changed as required and recorded.
- Faults and alarms are dealt with on a timely basis, in conjunction with Engineering.
- Any other duties are carried out as appropriate.

Compliance with company HACCP feed safety policies and procedures

Essential Criteria:
Must have a valid counterbalance license

Recent experience using a counterbalance forklift
