The post holder will join Leeds Peer Support Team. The post will be based at Clarence House in Horsforth and is for 22.5 hours per week.

**Our Service **This new service will co-produce training and resources which will support the development of a local offer of information, advice and training to key staff groups and for people most at risk of self-harm, including those who have had contact with the criminal justice system. Initial target workforces will be community-based Criminal Justice staff, Social Prescribing staff and Voluntary Sector staff that are in contact with people at highest-risk of self-harming behaviours and serious emotional distress.

**The Role**This is a rare opportunity to join Leeds Mind's Lived Experience/Peer Support Team in a unique training role relating to Self Harm. The Training offer will be fully developed with lived experience of Self Harm at the core. This role will lead on coproducing and delivering this training predominantly, but not exclusively, to staff in Criminal Justice, Social Prescribing and Voluntary Sectors within Leeds.

You will be responsible for coproducing, developing and delivering training and resources around self-harm.

**Essential Skills and Experience**:

- High level of oral, written, and non-verbal communication skills that engage, challenge, and aid the learning of group members.
- Excellent group facilitation skills and awareness of group dynamics.
- Solution focussed using initiative to offer new ideas.
- Organisational and time management skills to enable you to manage training schedules, work effectively and meet deadlines and objectives.
- Proven experience of delivering training to a diverse range of stakeholders/workplaces.
- Lived experience of mental health difficulties.
- Experience of developing training materials
- Substantial experience within a teaching/training setting.
- Experience of adapting training approach to meet the needs of audiences or organisations with differing needs

**Hours - 22.5**

**Scale - 18**

**Salary - £28,164 per annum (pro rata)**

**Contract - Fixed Term until end of march 2026**
