**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Due to an internal move, we are seeking a Janitor to cover our Victoria Dock and Maritime House facilities. The Janitor will provide effective cleaning and hygiene standards to the company premise(s) within a planned timetable as well as carrying out remedial repairs of building fixtures, fittings, plumbing, and decor.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

- To maintain a high standard of cleanliness at both Maritime House and Victoria Dock.
- To maintain high hygiene standards in the toilets, canteen and office areas. This is including, but not limited to also ensuring hand towels are changed regularly and soap dispensers are replenished as required.
- Emptying of production and office area waste bins on a regular and as needs basis at both Maritime House and Victoria Dock.
- Emptying shredding machines and recycling old print cartridges in a safe and cleanly manner.
- Cleaning the factory floor using industrial cleaning equipment in a safe and compliant manner.
- To ensure replenishment of the cleaning, hygiene and sanitation products is maintained. Examples being, toilet rolls, bleaches and cleaning equipment.
- Ensure factory décor is maintained to a high standard. Painting of walls skirting boards, and walkways.
- Support the maintenance and production teams with 5S and PPM activities.
- Ensure the outside of the building is neat and tidy, cutting back weeds and other foliage as well as removing any litter.

In addition to the above responsibilities, the role holder is required to undertake such duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be required from time to time.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:
Ideally with previous experience as a Janitor, you will be confident at managing your own workload, with a proactive approach and possess exceptional communication skills.

In addition, the Janitor will be required to comply with all Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental standards and procedures established by the company’s policies and in accordance with the requirements of relevant legislation and any regulatory bodies at all times. To have read, understood and comply with the company Health and Safety manual, policies and procedures and to implement these, at all times, to ensure both your own safety and the safety of those who may be affected by your actions or omissions.
