The Global Procurement department supports Sony Pictures’ executives to buy goods & services through quick and easy processes, from the right suppliers, for the best overall value globally.
Global Procurement includes four areas; Strategic Sourcing, Procurement Operations, Travel, Strategic Alliances and Responsible Sourcing, with the bulk of the 70+ employees being based in LA. Within the Strategic Sourcing area, there are eight categories: Travel, Content Distribution Services (CDS), Corporate Services, Marketing, IT, Production and Professional Services.
In this role you will support the London based Strategic Sourcing team (5 employees), with a particular focus on the Marketing and Production Sourcing category teams. There may also be opportunities to support other category leads based in London e.g. Corporate Services Procurement (including Facilities) and Professional Services Procurement.
As the Procurement Intern, you will assist with and take ownership of a number of projects to help ensure our stakeholder’s procurement requirements are met. The projects will cover the full range of sourcing activities, including:
- Capturing stakeholder requirements
- Designing and running Request for Proposal (RFP) processes
- Engaging and negotiating with potential vendors
- Analysing and evaluating vendor proposals
- Presenting to and engaging with collaborators
- Awarding business to vendors and drafting the related contract documents.
**What you'll do**:
The projects will primarily be within the Marketing and Production category team, however there will be opportunities to assist with projects in the Professional Services and Corporate Services categories. Within the Marketing and Production category the projects will cover the following subcategories:
- Media
- Creative
- PR & Promotions
- Print
- Market Research
- Market Operations
- Production Goods
- Production Services
You will work with a wide range of stakeholders varying across internal business units (such as the Motion Picture Group (MPG) and Home Entertainment and TV Distribution) and potentially across different territories (EMEA, LATAM, North America).
**Experience you will gain**:
- Development of a strong understanding of the end-to-end procurement process
- Supporting various Request for Proposal (RFP) processes. For example capturing information from suppliers to evaluate proposals, carrying out analysis of pricing proposals, compiling decks to compare proposals etc.

This position is a full time 12 month fixed term contract based in our London office and will be paid the London Living Wage.
