Innovate UK Business Growth is looking to recruit an experienced business specialist to work with some of the UK’s most innovative companies to help them grow, internationalise and commercially exploit their innovation.

Based in South West England, the specialist will act as adviser and mentor to ambitious businesses, work closely with Innovate UK grant beneficiaries and organisations from the wider innovation community.

In particular, we are looking for specialists who have a background in one or more of the following disciplines: business management, sales, marketing, innovation management, finance, IP, design, New Product Introduction, EDI or sustainability.

**The Benefits**:

- Salary of £42,000 to £45,410 per annum, depending on experience

**The Role**

As an Innovation and Growth Specialist, you will support and account manage some of the most innovative SMEs in the UK, making a significant contribution to their growth.

Providing tailored analysis and support, you will advise SMEs at critical points of the business lifecycle to help them achieve scale by identifying and reducing barriers to growth.

Using a variety of Innovate UK funded support services within our Innovate UK Business Growth portfolio, you will provide businesses with an integrated support package.

**About You**

To be considered as an Innovation and Growth Specialist, you will need:

- Experience of supporting and advising SMEs and their Senior Management Teams at various stages of the business life cycle
- Good knowledge and experience of working with companies in the technology sector- The ability to identify and recruit SMEs to relevant services
- The ability to act as a coach, mentor, critical friend and champion to clients
