The acquisition has secured our role as a critical supplier to the next generation of UK defence programmes. As part of this programme of work our plant and equipment will be modernised over the next 10 years, creating new opportunities for the business and our colleagues.

Based in the offices at our 64 acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, we are looking for a Continuous Improvement Lean Practitioner. This role will involve delivering sustainable improvements in the Operational arm of the business, in line with the vision & strategy for Sheffield Forgemasters.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Manage local / departmental Continuous Sustainable Improvement Plans (CSIP).
- Management and prioritisation of identified improvement opportunities.
- Improve Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost & Efficiencies.
- Serve as facilitator of Continuous Improvement interventions to the Operations teams.
- Develop and contribute towards improvement of standards and identification and sharing of best practises throughout the business.
- Ensure project deliverables are delivered with success.
- Lead, define and develop continuous improvement activities designed to improve performance, planning and facilitation of lean events.
- Support the use of Value Stream Mapping as a core tool within the business.

**About You**

You will have experience working in a similar role and have experience, skills and / or knowledge in the following.
- Formal Green Belt qualification.
- Managing safely qualification.
- Subject matter expert in lean & DMAIC tool kit.
- Proven track record of transformational & culture changes.
- Heavy industry experience preferred.- Demonstrated Project Management ability

**Days/Hours of Work**

37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, with flexible start and finish times between 06:15 - 09:30 and 14:30 - 18:00
