**Who You Are**:

- You're a dependable and methodical individual with a knack for financial figures and previous experience as a bookkeeper (or similar finance role).
- You will understand Profit and Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, Trial Balances, and the Chart of Accounts.
- Your role will encompass managing bank reconciliations, handling accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll for small teams, and executing various finance-related duties with precision. An ability to work with data and record data is essential.
- You will be highly organised and comfortable managing a range of office admin tasks / office management
- You will need a good sense of humour, enjoy your chosen profession, and a willingness to work hard during busy periods.

**Key Qualifications**:

- AAT Level 3 or equivalent industry experience
- A proactive approach to technology, with proficiency in MS Office, Google Sheets, and previous experience with cloud-based accounting tools, for example, Xero and FreeAgent.
- A strong drive to learn in areas where you may lack experience.
- A personification of integrity, vigour, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
- Exceptional numerical communication skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to speak directly to clients and key stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**
- Beyond bookkeeping, you will also be confident preparing simple accounts or self-assessment calculations.
- You'll play a pivotal role in the administrative heart of our bustling, yet relaxed office, aiding in the smooth operation of our practice by assisting the Director and our team of accountants with various administrative duties, such as handling incoming telephone calls, managing daily post, liaising with clients to obtain information, or liaising with HMRC to follow up on or verify information
- Organising and processing paper documentation received from clients

**Salary**: From £25,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 22.5 - 37.5 per week
