This role will report to the Director of Investor Relations, we are looking for an outstanding individual to build the strength and depth of the IR team. As a member of this high-profile team, you will be responsible for helping to implement an effective IR programme, covering the company’s capital markets communications. This role will involve liaising with teams across the business to understand how the business works, how it compares to competitors and gathering data that can be used to highlight credentials of the business.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Reporting to the Director of Investor Relations, this role will proactively support the CEO and CFO in their communication to the stakeholder community
- Develop Currys’ IR plan to ensure that the company’s financial performance, strategy, markets, services and prospects are effectively communicated to actual and potential stakeholders.
- Liaise with Finance, Strategy, Corporate Development, and International teams to maintain awareness of developments across the business
- Manage IR activity, particularly in relation to the announcement of financial results, M&A, investor meetings, site visits and capital markets days.
- Develop and contribute to the content of all communications and materials (including statements, slides and speaker notes and Q&A) for the investor community including results announcements, presentations and capital markets days.
- Monitor developments in the shareholder register and work to ensure that an optimum supportive shareholder base is developed and well maintained.

**Required Skills & Experience**:

- Excellent numerical, financial and communication (written and verbal) skills. An accounting qualification (such as a CFA, ACA or CIMA) is preferred but not required.
- Production skills - PowerPoint (advanced) and Word
- Significant and relevant experience from equity market related work at a leading investment bank or large fund management institution OR substantial experience of IR within a FTSE 100 or 250.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to foster relationships with peers and senior management
- Comprehensive understanding of financial models, equity markets, corporate financials, share register analysis and regulatory environment.
- Strong analytical skills with an unfaltering attention to detail.
- Adaptability - will be able to adapt quickly and offer solutions to changes in circumstances
- Self motivated and organised - be able to drive own agenda and manage multiple stakeholders both internally and externally
- Accounting qualification (such as a CFA, ACA or CIMA) is preferred but not required.
