**About the role**
In the role of Switchboard Operator/Meet & Greet receptionist you will for much of the time be based at our front of house reception desk providing an excellent first impression to all visitors to BDP’s Manchester studio. You will ensure that each visitor is signed in and guided to the seating/waiting area before announcing their arrival. You will manage a switchboard service, using a software-based telephone system, to five UK studios.
The role will be varied and include reception and other support tasks such as managing the meeting room booking system, logging required equipment, room layouts for set up by our facilities team, and managing hospitality requests. You will also be responsible for booking travel such as train tickets, air travel, and associated accommodation where required. You will ensure that the reception area is clean and presentable.
**About you**
To be considered for this role you must be reliable, have a exceptional customer service approach, be friendly, courteous, and professional along with:
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to listen, respond appropriately and to adapt your communication accordingly
- The ability to work under pressure, multitask and remain calm
- Being able to work as a team to ensure that all tasks within the reception remit are completed to a high standard
- A flexible approach to work and have the ability to learn new skills quickly
- Experience in a similar role, including making travel bookings - flights and rail travel
- Competence in using Microsoft Office, including Outlook for day-to-day tasks
This is a full-time, permanent position and the working hours are Monday to Friday, 9.30am - 18:00pm (37.5 hours per week).
