**Role Overview**: We are seeking dynamic all-rounders with a passion for coffee and a knack for customer service. If you're bubbly, have prior hospitality experience, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to chat

**Duties Include**:

- Crafting and serving a diverse range of hot and cold beverages
- Engaging with customers, taking orders, and delivering an exceptional service experience
- Operating our state-of-the-art espresso machines and other coffee-making tools
- Adhering to our beverage recipes and quality standards
- Ensuring a clean and organised workspace, proactively restocking supplies
- Managing cash transactions and using the cash register
- Assisting in food preparation and serving delightful pastries and other treats
- Complying diligently with all health and safety protocols
- Previous barista or similar role experience is a plus
- Radiates positive energy and has a welcoming demeanor
- Proficient in various coffee brewing methods and techniques
- Multitasks effectively in a lively environment, always focusing on details
- Articulate and enjoys interacting with a diverse range of customers and colleagues
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 30 pounds

We are looking for all rounders to come work in our reputable Siesta Coffee Shop & Drive Thru in Newton Aycliffe. Must be bubbly, have front of house skills, prior hospitality experience, attentive towards strict operational standards, organised, reliable, loyal, hard working, able to work among a diverse team, able to work with speed and accuracy. We reward loyal long term staff members and we also offer substantial reward programmes for those who have been on board more than 3-months. Common sense is additionally a must, we seek individuals who think outside the box.

**Duties**:

- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, tea, and smoothies
- Take customer orders and provide exceptional customer service
- Operate espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment
- Prepare and present beverages according to established recipes and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including restocking supplies as needed
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Assist with food preparation and serve pastries or other food items as required
- Follow all health and safety guidelines

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers
- Knowledge of different coffee brewing methods and techniques
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
