Domestic/ Laundry Assistant

Dovehaven Care Homes are recruiting for a **Domestic/ Laundry** **Assistant **to join our team at **Marsh House, Ulnes Walton Lane, Leyland. **Working three Day a week 8am
- 4.30pm, and will include every other Weekend, **24hr Contract available.**
**Marsh House** is a residential care home catering for up to 33 residents. The home specialises in dementia care, and our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable as possible. Our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.
**About the Role**:
You will be responsible for ensuring a clean safe environment is provided for our residents, visitors and staff and be an important part of the team that ensures residents in our care feel valued. Duties will include following a daily schedule, wash residents clothes, ironing, making beds, ensuring all clothes go back to the correct residents room and any other duties as required.
**About You**:
You will have a caring nature and a positive attitude, showing a desire to deliver the best possible standard of domestic and laundry service to the residents in our care. You will ideally have previous domestic experience and be committed to ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, hygiene and appearance. You will be able to demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to older people and be a team player but able to work on your own initiative.
