- about 3 hours agoWe are recruiting for a world-class audio rental company, who proudly supplies high-end audio equipment and skilled audio engineers to global music tours, sporting, and corporate events. They are looking for a highly motivated Shipping Administrator to join their Operations Team to be part of their future growth.
**Key Responsibilities of the Shipping Administrator**:
Working closely with the Operations Department, this role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities with a specific focus on administrative tasks related to transport and logistics. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all equipment logístical moves from start to finish including
- Managing bookings of domestic and international courier shipments (e.g., FedEx) and same-day local couriers.
- Creating purchase orders for logistics suppliers on behalf of the Operations Department.
- Maintaining awareness of all logístical moves, providing oversight and suggesting efficiencies in scheduling.
- Sharing and updating interested parties with truck/driver details and schedules for both project and intercompany movements.
- Processing customs documentation (ATA Carnets, Commercial Invoices), manage their usage, and keep up-to-date records within our global IT system.
- Generating software-emulated truck packs to demonstrate load requirements to clients.
- Fostering open dialogue within the department and with other departmental staff to facilitate performance, processes, and productivity.
- Handling any other administrative duties required for the department.
**Skills and Experience Desired of the Shipping Administrator**:
- 2-3 years' experience in an administrative role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong IT skills, with a willingness to become competent in in-house systems.
- Background in the Event and/or Logistics Industry is desirable but not essential.
- Drive, ambition, and innovative thinking.
- Confidence, reliability, logical and systematic approach to work, meeting strict deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and management skills.
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
