Dog Walking Coordinator

The overall aim of this role is to continue to grow our sustainable dog walking service for Pembrokeshire as follows
- To identify isolated dog owners in the community who struggle to walk their dogs and who would benefit from having a dog walker and befriender, through liaison with all possible connected services e.g., GP surgeries, luncheon clubs, social and health care teams and third sector support services.
- To train and support Volunteer Dog Walkers who have mental ill-health, learning disabilities, autism and other additional needs to carry out dog walking and befriending.
- Bring together the customers and the trained Volunteers to enable the dog to be walked and therefore benefit all involved.
- Increase the turnover of the dog walking project in order to sustain the role beyond 12 months and therefore benefit more people and dogs.
The hours will usually be between 9am and 4pm, over 2-3 days of the week, in partnership with our existing Dog Walking Coordinator, to provide 4-5 days cover for the Dog Walking Project.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £12.15-£12.65 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
