Sport in Mind is an independent mental health charity founded in Berkshire in
2011, with a simple mission:

Sport in Mind is the leading mental health sports charity in England, delivering innovative physical activity projects in partnership with the NHS to promote mental wellbeing, improve physical health, combat social isolation, and empower people to move their lives forward in a positive direction.

Our services are co-designed by people with personal experience of mental health problems and healthcare professionals, and we have supported the recovery of over 14,000 people.

We have recently established a ground-breaking youth programme and are looking to recruit experienced coaches deliver our youth sessions. We have expanded our programme successfully into Wokingham and will be continuing to develop the project this year.

- **Job Purpose**_

1. Deliver high quality and fun sport and activity sessions for children experiencing social, emotional and mental health challenges
- **Designation of Post and Position within Service**_

1. Responsible to Sport in Mind’s Project Manager.
- **Main Duties and Responsibilities**_

1. To plan and deliver sport and well-being activities to young people from 9 - 16 years of age. Bring a flexible approach and the ability to think on your feet at the sessions.

2. Inspire and motivate individuals to have fun and socialise when playing sport to improve their mental health.

3. Be committed to good practice and ensure familiarity with all Sport in Mind policies and procedures (e.g. health and safety, confidentiality and safeguarding).

4. Ensure the highest level of safeguarding is adhered to and risk assessments are followed.

5. Undertake administrative tasks - participant forms, registers, data collection, online data systems.

6. Support with ad-hock charitable matters.

7. Promote equality and diversity in all aspects of your work by developing and maintaining relationships, ensuring that colleagues are treated fairly and with respect/dignity.
